The Anacortes Museum and the Anacortes Museum Foundation have a close working relationship, strengthened by a memorandum of agreement approved in 2019. In the past few years the Foundation has funded projects and programs like our online photo database, web accessibility to historic newspapers, the renovation of the museum courtyard, exhibits at the Carnegie Gallery and the Maritime Heritage Center, artists in residence—creating and producing podcasts and films on the W.T. Preston—and many more.
